Recently I was in need of a proxy site desperately. All useful sites are blocked in my office and all known proxies too… I googled a lot to find unknown proxy that is not blocked in my network. During this I come across a PHP+Jscript which can be used as your own proxy. And bingo…

All you have to do is to download the zip folder from here and upload it to your webhost. You will need a webhost to use this proxy. You can get hundreds of free PHP host in Internet on just a click of mouse. Get webspace at your desired webhost and upload the folder. Enter “yourdomainname/phproxyfolder/index.php” in the url of your browser and again bingo… you have your custom very own proxy is ready to use.

I suggest you to not to share this URL so that your network admin does not block you’re your proxy!! Even if it is block you can get new free account in web host and upload again

Norton has released beta version of their antivirus “Norton antivirus 2010″. This beta version is available to download for free here. Notron claims that this is the fastest “norton antivirus” ever.
I have bought “Norton internet security 2009″ and I also agree that 2009 was great step by norton and they silenced the critics by releasing powerful and light antivirus. Generally Norton has been bashed by most of the users for resourse hungry software. I agree that earlier version of norton antivirus used to make system very slow, but my view changed from norton 2009.
Norton antivirus 2010 willcome with new “Sonar 2″ technology to find threats to your computer. Norton antivirus 2010 will also suport Windows 7 operating system.
now lets see what norton 2010 offers..

I downloaded Norton antivirus 2010 beta and tried on my windows 7 RC version. Installation was normal withuot any problem and also activation was done by key provided by norton in email. After that i wanted to update virus defination and start the protection. Here comes the hiccups.. It was not possible to start the protection on and also not possible to update the defination.. status says that “failed” !! I gave up. Next morning when i restart the computer, every thing worked and definations also updated !! So it means it requires restart the computer which is not mentioned in installation..

Norton has included some new features in 2010 version, one is application ratings. It basically scans all processes and says which processes are trusted, how much resource it consume and how widely it is used. Kind of good feature little alike task manager with enhanced data.

New flip screen button is provided. When you click on the button screen rotates graphically with 3d effect and new screen is displayed.. I dont think this was any necessary to have such feature.. it can make norton more resource hungry..

Now In my view I find 2010 version “little” heavier then 2009 version. I will stick to 2009 version for now as I think 2010 version is just like 2009 in new box with some goodies.
