Journey to South India (Land of Rajni bhaiya :D )

Never thought that I will ever come to South of India, but here I am about to finish my short journey of Chennai, Tamil Nadu..

Make my words that it’s never easy for a guy from Gujarat to stay in the place where main food is rice and dress code is lungi ;) But I conquered and won.. Not only that but made wonderful friends :)

I had come here in Chennai because of my job change. I stayed initially in company guest house for 10 days. I reached at night and was planning to go outside for food and stopppp… I was stopped by fellow members of guest house and told me that you cannot find food in Chennai after 9:30 or 10 !! This was the first damage done by Chennai to me :P There are only 3 or 4 good shopping center in Chennai so if you are planning to buy something then you have to make hell big of plan to reach there first..

I met with Kingshuk Dutta in my guest house who was also new joinee at my company. Because of same interest we became friends eventually and shifted to a paying accommodation in Pallavaram. The owner of PG gave us so many promises but cheated at last. I met Zeeshan (Our Hero), Mr Indranil (Uncle jee) and Mohib. We all were new to Chennai except Zeeshan so we used to take tips from him. We enjoyed fighting with PG owner a lot there.

After some time, Kingshuk fed up of Chennai and found the job in Bangalore where is always wanted to go and then I shifted with my team mates (Sreekanth, Sachin and Pavan) flat at Thiruvanmiyur. All of my team mates in office are Telugu. From here start my real journey to Chennai and I get a chance to know the culture of Telugu people. I met Babu, Naresh, Gopi and Satheesh also there. One similarity between Tamil and Telugu people is that they eat lot of rice. Rice taken by Sreekanth at one time is equal to rice taken by me in week ;) (Now scenario is changed :D ) Gopi is chief chef at our flat. He makes awesome curries. If Gopi is at home then no need to worry about food. Naresh is assistant chef :D He also cooks very well but he needs some motivation and that is provided by Sreekanth.. I also can cook (I am not joking ok.. ) but if I cook then nobody here will eat :D . So final take is I get ready made food :) and also milk in night because of courtesy of Babu :)

Believe me, Movie is another religion in south of India. If you make some bad comment on heroes then you are in danger :D . Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan in Chennai.. Mahesh babu, Chiru, venki, pavan kalyan in AP (I really suspect that this Pavan can act !!  but Sreekanth is big fan of him. Sorry Sreekanth ) I also know many famous actor, actress and movie names now. I have experienced Telugu movie culture more even though I stayed in Chennai.. If some good movie is coming then all the guys will stick to the TV and enjoy. I also enjoy with them even though I don’t understand anything or “kuncham kuncham”.. There is also one trend of not liking Hindi movies. However the good Hindi or English movie, more chances are of bashing.. I really don’t understand that.

My overall experience in Chennai is wonderful. I got a chance to meet different people and do a friendship with them J I cannot write everything I experienced here but I will always remember this as a great experience to my life.. I am sure I will come here again (Sreekanth has promised to invite me in his marriage.. Waiting dude.. )

Thanks all for making my 10 months journey to wonderful one…
